Through tt-exchange (formerly CTX), eligible UK-based charities can request new, donated tech from partners like Microsoft, Symantec and Cisco. These products include everything from operating system software to server software, and from security software to hardware products such as switches, routers, wireless equipment and firewalls.
Charities are required to pay an administrative fee per product, which covers the costs of running the programme. Admin fees vary by product but charities can save as much as 96% on typical retail prices.
Technology Trust and the TechSoup Global Network are always working hard to expand the programme to include donations from other leading corporate technology donors. They also provide charities with a wide array of educational resources to help charities choose, implement and use the available technology.
